Need to pick all you IT type brains for a moment. The wife is kicking around getting a laptop in a few months. She's an elementary teacher so she doesn't need anything too crazy but we'd like it to be solid and not outdated too soon. Zoom meetings, internet, email and some online presentation type stuff.

Recommendations? Our home desktop is Apple and she uses both PC and Chromebook at school so I don't think platform is a huge deal.

The most important part of any laptop I consider is the keyboard. Especially the cursor keys.
Go to Best Buy or other electronic retailer and test out the keyboard. Open a text editor and type as fast as possible, fixing mistakes as they happen. They differentiate pretty quickly.
