This is a good point: Be nice.
There are few exceptions - like when you are being physically attacked.
Otherwise, try to be the adult and turn it into an opportunity to learn.
Make points for the audience, not the target.
Be dispassionate.
Parse the complexity. It usually surfaces more interesting topics.
But, I do believe that you can kill and despise the architype while empathizing with the person supporting the architype.
