Clock-timers rely on external cue to start-finish work, etc. E.g. wake up every day at 6:30 am, start work at 9 am, lunch at noon, gym at 5 pm, sleep at 10 pm.

Event-timers might wake when no longer sleepy, eat when hungry, work on project until done.

@johnverdon I would be an event timer if I could *sigh* I have two g'kids who need me to get them up and going for school, so in the morning at least, clock timer it is. I'm pretty casual the rest of the day!

@wolfwoman The industrial revolution and the cheap ubiquitous watch - has forced many of us to become clock-timers
