One of my favorites is the grasshopper, by e.e. cummings. When I read it, it feels like how it feels when a grasshopper suddenly hops while I am watching it.
I feel myself watching that grasshopper, every time.
@johnverdon For me, poetry is something that evokes a feeling beyond the mere words and prose. It uses the words to evoke what words themselves cannot.
It can be funny, or sad, or weird, or whatever, and I'll be happy!
