@Florence there maybe more trials going on.
@johnverdon Since the UK pulled out of the EU, it's been tricky. Particularly pulling out of Euratom.
@johnverdon I speak as someone booted off a trial once the UK were fully out of the EU. The company tried their best, offering me medication etc., but legally they weren't covered as I wasn't a true participant any more. It was a total fail.
@Florence Jeezuz - bad politics and bad economics - make the world a worse place and degrades human response-abilities
@johnverdon Absolutely. The oncologist was furious, politicians making clinical decisions. I also have an underlying rare blood cancer and the Gvmt chose, in its wisdom, NOT to protect rare disease treatmens when we left. I mean, they literally said 'no, don't bother'. They were offered the opportunity to continue and refused, saying it affected 'such a small number' and that 'fallout was inevitable'. Nice.
@Florence These are crimes against humanity.
@johnverdon Ordinary folk chose not to believe me when I said this before we left, saying 'the Gvmt would never do this'. But they did, sadly. It's frustrating more than anything else. And a horrid reality of how little we matter!
@johnverdon As someone with MM, I'm always interested in new directions. They've been thin on the ground since covid.
