It just occurred to me. Why should this classified documents case be complicated? The government deemed the documents classified. Trump took them. What difference does it make what was in those documents (legally)? Why does the defense need to go over all those documents? What? They plan on claiming the documents weren’t classified? The government - that Trump ran for four years - said they were. And he had no right to take them anyway! Aargh!
House GOPs want a pay raise for themselves w. an increase of 8K per member. Most house members earn 174K annually putting them in the top 10% of U.S. earners. Meanwhile, they are axing education, health, and other essential programs that help the poor.

Jim Jordan accused the FBI of being weaponized against conservatives. Jerry Nadler accused Jordan of running interference for Trump. Nadler also mocked the idea that FBI led Christopher Wray was dedicated to bringing down the GOP on bogus charges.

Sen. Schumer should start scheduling confirmation hearings for individual military officers due for promotion, beginning, of course with the highest ranking officers. All day and all night, through weekends and vacations, to get around Tuberville’s hold on mass confirmations. The Senate would have no time to do anything else, forcing McConnell to do something about this jerk from Alabama.
In the states banning abortion after six weeks, it seems the only recourse for women will be to get pregnancy tests every week! Ovulation and missed periods are not precise enough events to be counted on. Contraceptives are not 100% foolproof. Of course, abstaining from sex - which has been suggested by anti-abortion legislators - would also work.
Would Trump’s lawyers have made the same case to delay - indefinitely! - the documents trial if he were polling down in the Nikki Haley range? Of course they would. In other words, just declare you’re running for president, and you can’t be prosecuted for federal crimes. Ah, but there’s a state (Georgia) case that Trump would have no power over, even if he wins the election. Sorry, Donald. The wheels of Justice grind ever so slowly, but they’re finally coming for you.
