History tells us Republicans (or another party?) would win in 2028. So Shapiro as VP would be out of a job. Even if Harris pulls off the trifecta, Shapiro would then be looking at 2036 to run for President after losing in 2032. Meanwhile, he could be a senator and run in 2032 for president after the Dems lose in 2028 (or 2032).
