Several candidates floated: Beshear (probably wants it because a continued career in Kentucky unlikely); Kelly of Arizona (but then we’d lose a senator); Shapiro (we need him to stay in Pa); Whitmer (good for winning Michigan, but two women=too much of a good thing); Moore of Maryland (your turn will come, and two people of color would be risky); Cooper of North Carolina (checks all the boxes, and my favorite choice).
One name I saw floated a lot yesterday was Buttigieg. I don't see him being a horrible choice either.
Regardless, it's going to be interesting to see who she picks.
