@AnnetteTRemain Also, keep in mind, the stuff that "whiny ass people" want is often things like health care, fair labor laws, human rights and protections, an economy not dominated by oligarchs, and not to die from climate change.
People aren't refusing to vote because they don't like the way the candidate worded their support for women's rights.
Minimizing the concerns of others to demand unity destroys cooperation.
@AskTheDevil I think we all want that. I voted third party before. I fell for the kumbaya lets come together and pick someone else and all it did was take my vote away from Trumps best competitor. Maga has no intent of voting for someone else they just want US to split our votes. As someone who voted for third party I can say that it doesn't matter at all what "could have been" because the third party candidate didn't have chance of winning and didn't.
@AnnetteTRemain I understand why we are trapped having to vote for the party line in this election - again.
But that is absolutely not a good excuse for people to say that people who don't like the policies that _will_ be enacted by a candidate are whiners, or act like their concerns are small.
Dismissing people's concerns to get a crappy person elected over a crappier one gets you voters that drop out or go evil, because it makes them feel like nothing they do matters anyway.
@AskTheDevil I voted third party and not for Hillary. I don't like the Clintons. If I could do it all over again my house would be plastered with Clinton posters. So my harsh comments would have been directed at myself back then. I absolutely went the sunny kumbaya path which was not grounded in the real world. In the real world we are going to have to make compromises and pick our battles. I believe not letting Trump back in outweighs any complaints people may have about Biden.
@AnnetteTRemain @AskTheDevil same!
@Priestess Hillary was the only candidate Trump could beat, and he still needed some lucky breaks. He’s got the same situation this time, with Biden the only Dem he can beat. But it works both ways. Trump is the only R Biden can beat.
