As anyone with half a brain already knew, the wave of "mysterious" pediatric hepatitis is caused by pathogenic immune reaction (inflammation) in the liver long after the triggering #COVID infection is gone.
1. Pediatric hepatitis caused by immune system dysfunction after "mild" SARS2 infection
2. Adenovirus ain't got anything to do with it - nor do dog farts
3. Child soldier Killer T cells coaxed into liver by SARS2 infection & wreak havoc
4. Steroids to shut the immune system down
It's becoming quite the trend that the CDC is two steps behind on everything. Just today they say they are looking into the whole "novel Adenovirus" thing.
Because clearly it's more likely that we have a second, undiscovered pandemic, than it is that #COVID / #COVID19 is causing this damage in children that had previously been infected.
I'm so done.
@jgold a lot of gaslighting is going to happen because these white parents just wanted their brats to die.
@Staceface Not really sure what race has to do with anything. I'm a white parent who very much doesn't want my little brat to die. Been living like a hermit for two years because of that.
@jgold Well, that went south quickly. Not convinced the cases of ped hepatitis are due COVID. Some of the kids who got it had no detectable antibodies to COVID when checked.
@grannyclear Yea, a few kids didn't have detectable antibodies, but that isn't unheard of, especially in young kids. The vast majority, though, did.
I'm not claiming to have all the answer, for sure, but it seems incredibly unlikely that there is some novel adenovirus circling the globe, but causing so few cases. *Far* more likely is it's a rare pediatric complication from the virus that is already worldwide.
I may have to eat crow on that, but I don't think so.
@jgold Fair enough. I'm kind of new here. Is the person who brought race into this and then implied white parents wanted their children to die a troll or is this a one off comment?
@grannyclear not sure. I haven’t seen them before, but that doesn’t mean a ton since I only really follow pretty specific hashtags.
@jgold Considering what you most of your postings are about, imagine you may have attracted the interest of RU trolls. Sure there are few in here, but nothing like the hordes of them at bird site. Not constantly getting attacked and having convos disrupted.
@jgold Remember in the 90s the whole “Hot Zone” movie trend where the CDC storms into a place with protective suits and solves stuff with advanced military support and saves the day?
Yeah…heh.
@natharari God, if only.
@jgold Yeah. I know. What a crock that turned out to be. 🙁
@jgold Hey Josh, you apparently had no problem getting into the group I set up right?
Yes, the Adenovirus is a red herring. Pure BS. I mean it's not like there literally have not been studies about hepatitis in children that have been literally published!
Gabriel Hébert-Mysterious has posted a number of them on Twitter.
@laughingriver Yep, got in without issue!
@jgold CDC has never been all that and a side of fries. It is a government agency so runs slow. Inclined to agree this is like related to global pandemic given geographic distribution of ped hep cases, but still waiting for definitive proof.
