One thing I find very interesting about the Victory Day parade in Russia is the lack of appearance from General Gerasimov. We saw General Shoigu, who has reportedly suffered two heart attacks since the start of the war, but no Gerasimov.

This is something I was watching for after reports that Gerasimov was injured in an artillery strike in . I really expected him to be trotted out to prove he was alive and uninjured. The fact that he was not is... interesting.

@jgold My dude, stop teasing me. I just got done processing the bitter disappointment I was feeling when I thought he just got a ding on his shin. Hope can be so cruel...😭 🤣

@April_Z For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure he isn't dead. My guess is he is just wounded enough to be obvious if they put him out in the parade. He's probably perfectly capable of continuing to be fantastically bad at his job.

@jgold I don't think you're wrong, but a girl can pray for sepsis, right?

@April_Z I've been hoping for COVID... Sepsis would be just as fun.
