Absolutely loved "The Menu". Can't believe more people aren't talking about it. Give me a movie like this every month and I'm there.
@jeffrivers I'm SO EXCITED to see it, just haven't had the opportunity yet. Read a very interesting interview with the director (who also did some GoT and Succession eps), and am even more excited now. Big takeaway: he mics up all the actors in the scene, and everyone is in character the entire time. Allows for great overlapping dialogue and improv.
@jeffrivers I've also worked in kitchens, so have a soft spot in my heart for shows and movies that depict them (well). Oh Chef.
@jenneviere I saw in the credits that Dominique Crenn was the technical consultant on the movie so I imagine the technical aspects were right on. She's top-tier...
