Today marks two special occasions; CoSo's 7th #CoSoversary, and my second! 🎉
Thank you all for taking me in, making me feel like part of the family! I mean that most sincerely, you are all truly my friends. ❤️
That goes for everyone from the OG who joined the very first day, to the new Nauts who just joined today. You make this place special! 😎
And special thanks to @th3j35t3r for providing us with this safe haven from the storm, it's truly magical!
HiPOD: Bang and Whoosh!
This HiRISE image captures a new, dated (within about a decade) impact crater that triggered a slope streak. When the meteoroid hit the surface and exploded to make the crater, it also destabilized the slope and initiated this avalanche.
Slope streaks are created when dry dust avalanches leave behind dark swaths on dusty Martian hills.

Just want to go on the record that, for over 6 years, I have perceived CoSo to be extremely supportive and inclined to comfort around well-being challenges.
Depressed? Anxious? Grieving? Traumatized? Preserving sobriety?
More than one of us has been there. Folks step up with compassion and empathy.
We are imperfect humans but hearts and intentions are solid.
And while I'm feeling introspective -- thank you, @th3j35t3r , for building CoSo and keeping it running and safe.
There's no better place in social media.
Happy holidays ❤️

The Geminids are tonight! One of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year, from an asteroid, not a comet, averages about 120/hr (in a dark area)...and one that just happens to celebrate my birth each year 🥳 😂😂
This shower unusually allows some meteors to be seen even in very highly light-polluted areas (I saw two within 15 minutes from NYC one year!)
The moon is cooperating nicely at 1% waxing cresent 🌚
