@igneousidol I'd prefer not to get mailings from every single mainstream Democrat's mailing lists asking for money, thanks.
Moveon.org presents itself as a progressive grassroots organization, but it is astroturf for the Democratic party's "establishment" members. It's a fundraising and propaganda arm for laissez-faire Dems.
Fun fact: I was a part of moveon.org in '07-08. I have dirt.
@AskTheDevil ok, scroll on then...I only sign occasional petitions, online with a click...the only money they got from me is when I bought their cool stickers about banned books with an owl on it...I delete hundreds of unwanted emails a day, I consider it my civic duty as I am too poor to give to any causes I would like to
@igneousidol They get me with the stickers. I'm a sucker for stickers.
@igneousidol My big concern is that there's a lot of organizations out there that pretend they're there to help you raise your voice, do petitions, get some kind of statement made, but they're really just harvesting your data.
It's all so... scuzzy out there.
