I know most people don't want to hear it , but the only way to stop mass murders at schools is to make schools hardened targets. Even if all guns were removed from the equation, killers would still find a way to assault soft targets. I think the first line of defense for children to be safe in schools is to make sure that schools are a secure environment.

@Wolfman funny how no other countries have to do that

@ibid yeah. I personally don't want to be in the woods with anyone who needs 20 rounds to kill a deer. When I killed my first deer at the age of 12 with a 30.06, my father sat me down and explained that shooting a deer broadside wastes half a deer. He also pointed out that half a deer won't feed a family of 7 very long.
I learned fast that if I couldn't get a head shot, don't pull the trigger. Now days most only want the head. Most have no intentions of eating what they kill.

@Wolfman Same with my dad. He always worked himself to exhaustion when hunting but always got something. I never could get into hunting. Way too much work for the end result, but where I am I don't have to face the hunt or starve decision.

@ibid lol we didn't have to hunt or starve. My father was a Cherokee/Choctaw who lived through the great depression. During the depression they didn't have much money so feeding a family of eleven would have been difficult. Fortunately they were hunter/farmers with 180 acres to raise food on. Living off the land gave us something that most people don't have. Food Sovereignty.
