Junior doctors call five-day strike before election https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-69072640
@Mandypar If I converted to dollars correctly it's not a fair wage for a first year radiographer.
@Mandypar @MidnightRider It's a ridiculous wage for the amount of education they had to go through and the amount of hours they have to work.
@MidnightRider @homebird I find it surreal that we relied on them so much during the covid pandemic and folks did the signs supporting the NHS and clapping and stuff and yet STILL they are not paid enough. It's like patting a dog and calling him a good boy while explaining that he doesn't deserve any food that day.
@Mandypar @homebird The working people of this world are like Rocky 1, they don't think they can win. Luckily for the rich we don't love each other enough to band together and bring them to their knees. History suggests that's a chronic blind spot of the commoners. I did finally land where I was paid very fair, that company is defunct now.
@homebird @Mandypar Dr. Hero (let's call him that) Fought vehemently to reduce the hours my Uni Hospital was making residents work. He detailed the reckless nature of such a decision and the obvious consequences. He was in charge of all the student Radiologists. They harassed him right out of there for speaking the truth. He took his talents to a prominent cancer hospital in the state where he was chief Radiologist. Bravo SUNY, BRAVO.
@MidnightRider @Mandypar Bravo, indeed!
@homebird @Mandypar Well not if you contrast it against being a superlative athlete or an actor. /S
