So, we're pretty sure our senior dog has Cushing's disease. The nose bleeds are a separate issue, but blood tests showed really high liver numbers. He's been drinking water constantly, super hungry lately and starting to have difficulty walking. Going in Monday for more tests.

X-rays didn't show any obvious tumors, but did show a very enlarged liver, also indicative of Cushing's. No visible issues in the nose that may explain bleeding. Next is a test for Cushing's tomorrow. It's an 8 hour long test, so that will be interesting.

The results are in. He has Cushing's. Now we have to figure out how to treat it. The saga continues.

Update: We have him on Vetoryl to treat the Cushing's and Galliprant to treat his OA. Got a belly strap to hold him up when his back legs get too weak in the evenings so he can go out to do his business. He's eating, active and seems happy, so we'll keep going. Yeah, it's expensive, but he's family, right?

Been there, done that. Hard road. Sounds like you're both being quite valiant. Sending love to you and your beautiful doggie.

@h8cloz Yes he's family and we do whatever we can for our family. Sending you all Love and Holiday Greetings. 💖🎄
