Someone asked me today if I'd buy a Tesla since they know I've been researching EVs for a possible future purchase. The answer is no.
Truthfully, the answer was no before the Twitter Musk debacle. I think there are better options than Tesla, especially at lower price points.
Were I to buy one today, it would be a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV. I think it's the best EV value for the money in the American market right now.

@RaceBannon I own a Bolt. After the battery recall, I basically got a new car with a longer range. If you want to take long trips, be aware that the Bolt is the slowest charging car on the market. Not a problem if you're not in a hurry, but really annoying when you are.
