In Sweden you can have your maiden name, your husband's name or both after you married it's up to you (the woman) and the husband doesn't need to be consulted. We don't have birth certificates, we have proof of person. You can get one that tells all your names or what ever you need. I got one recently ordering it to show my mother & father, my children and whom I am married to. If I had ordered it to show my maiden name I would have gotten that to.
