if your birth certificate has your maiden name & your ID has your married name, you will be disqualified from #voting by the #SAVEact. It would make it difficult for most #women to #vote at all.

You know they dropped considering the SAVE Act about three days ago because they couldn't even get enough REPUBLICANS to vote for it, right?

In Sweden you can have your maiden name, your husband's name or both after you married it's up to you (the woman) and the husband doesn't need to be consulted. We don't have birth certificates, we have proof of person. You can get one that tells all your names or what ever you need. I got one recently ordering it to show my mother & father, my children and whom I am married to. If I had ordered it to show my maiden name I would have gotten that to.
"This is bullshit."

It's the one curse word we were allowed to use as kids. Mom's dislike of lies outweighed her dislike of vulgar language.
That is why Ivanka maintains Trump as her last name not her husbands jewish name Kushner. Not sure how Melania Knavs, Lara Yanuska, Vanessa Pergalozzi and the other Trump women are going to put on their voting id's. Vanessa may have some complications since her former partner's name was prince Khaled Bin Bandar al Saud.
Such anglo american sounding names brings tears to your eyes.
@grrlscientist
That would certainly be a disincentive for a woman to take her husband's name upon marriage, donchaknow!
