This article descended into bullshit in the first two paragraphs. I stopped reading when the author started promoting religion as some sort of panacea. Belief in a god is the problem, not the solution in this country.

What I find hysterically funny and ironic is that most atheists act more like "Christians", in terms of social behavior, kindness, generosity, etc, than most Christians do. It's the whole "I believe in a god, so I'm automatically a better person than you" thing again, done in passive/aggressive. With "rapture and I go to a good place after death and YOU don't" thrown in.

And they're absolutely determined to write it into write it into the law of the land.

@gregscloud1 Well, yeah. Most Christians today focus on the Old Testament, and its jealous, murderous, controlling, abusive god, rather than the New Testament and its doting grandfatherly god.....who let his son die, but that's another kettle of fish.
