I'm starting to believe that there is no plan, #Trump is just a habitual liar.
I once thought he was deliberately lying to rile up his base, but now, I'm pretty sure he just enjoys lying and needs to find something to lie about so people will pay him attention again.
He lies about dumb shit that nobody cares about. Like his height vs. Obama's, having big men come up to him crying saying "Thank you Mr. Trump, for speaking up for us.", about everything.
Habitual liar, rapist, racist, child molester, philanderer, failed businessman, misogynist, and now, convicted felon.
Also a classic narcissist, and narcissists CANNOT get through a day without attention.
A narcissist also cannot stand LOSING. To anyone. Any time, about anything.
That, right there, is a lot of why he does what he does.
