@LnzyHou I used to tent camp in northern Michigan in the winter. This wasn't near as bad. (I do love the winter)

@gettinaway

Grew up there. Coldest place I ever lived, including 30+ years in Colorado which has 320 days of sunshine. MI has no sun from October to June.

Frozen bone marrow.

@LnzyHou My daughter grew up here in Michigan but the last 18 years remote Alaska has been her home. I hope to move closer to her in the near future.

@gettinaway

On my bucket list. I tried to go spring of 2021 in my van but Canada had closed the border due to covid. Great disappointment.

@LnzyHou Nice van!! I drove from Michigan to Alaska in 2013. I crossed the UP on US2 and on to western Minnesota. Headed north from there through Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon. I housesat for a couple who lived about 40 miles south of Denali National Park. On clear days Mt Denali was visible. I also flew out to my daughter's town for a stay before heading home. Three months on the road.

@LnzyHou It was the best trip of my life. Just me and the open road for three months.
