I have trees and brush right up to the fence line. They'll bulldoze a fire break inside my fence line.
I'm planning a burn this winter to improve diversity of grasses and forbs that will support diversity of wildlife

It depends on where one lives, but in many rural communities, local VFDs gladly provide controlled burn services at landowner's request. These are utilized as training exercises.

I joined the East Texas Prescribed Burn Association, which is sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Forestry Service. Its goal is to increase the use of prescribed burns by building a cadre of trained burners who support each other. All burns are overseen by TPW and Forestry with members of Prescribed Burn Association providing the labor
