"The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."

-Plato

It is a privileged position of indifference presuming that if things were really bad "someone would do something." That someone is you, me, all of us.

One reason I am fascinated by the buildup of Nazi Germany is German people weren't inherently evil. Most were just complacent, going along, unwilling to get involved.

@evamarie yes.. I don't see it as competition but rather that systemic and intergenerational discrimination experienced by Native Americans is a distinct and ongoing injustice that must be prioritized and addressed.

All injustice deserves our attention, but Native people, who've been fighting for recognition and survival for centuries still are overlooked and its tearing up communities. Devastatingly so.

Women Who Defied Traditional Gender Roles

One lesser-known historical woman who defied traditional gender roles and changed history was Claudette Colvin, a pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement. Born in 1939 in Montgomery, Alabama, Claudette was just 15 years old when she made a courageous stand against segregation.

The Hateful Eight includes:

Never heard such a perfect description of the hell that is TWโ€”rage feedback loop.

Took me months to recover when I deactivated almost two years ago. Not what attacked me but who I had become in the battle.

Horrifying.

CoSo is indeed an oasis of friendship, acceptance and calm that heals us all. I am grateful every single day.
