Something you might like .... Japan's Nemophila, an all-female band I'm quite fond of, these last 5 years. They consist of:
- Mayu, lead voice (Mayu and Tam are the only married members, and each have children as well)
- Tamu Murata, drums (Tam has a huge resume)
- Hazuki-sama, left side guitar (she's also part of Koiai)
- Saki, right side guitar (no longer with the band)
- Haraguchi-san, bass (Hara-san also owns a cool clothing company)
These girls rock!
They've been together 6 years now and have just released their 3rd album.They've come to the US twice now, the first time being July of 2022, at the Whisky a Go-Go, and the senond time last year, and a more encompassing tour, from coast to coast. They, Band-Maid, and Show-Ya are my favourite Japanese bands. Show-Ya run a festival each year for lady Japanese musicians and that is how I first heard of Nemophila 5 years ago. I have followed them since.
