Although most humans have Neanderthal DNA, no Neanderthal skeleton has been found with human DNA, raising questions about how the two species interacted:
It certainly shows that Homo sapiens had mated with Neanderthal women, but not visa versa. Were these women spoils of war? The answers are murky but don’t point to something good.
