The heron was a friendly companion who was always at least 10 feet in front of me. Finally, toward the end of the walk, it flew majestically over the bay.
I love when a walk is as peaceful and relaxing as that.

I’ve been taking multiple long walks throughout the day since COVID, and although gyms are now open, I can’t give up walking in nature; it’s a balm to the soul.

My office is on the bay and I’m lucky to have miles and miles or park and walking paths by the water. I take my lunch hour to walk, or at least will do until the heat of the summer creeps in.
