I always refer to that performance as "multiple legends watch in awe as prince shreds"
Prince is jaw dropping in this version, no doubt, and I can’t watch this video without wondering where on earth his guitar landed after he tossed it in the air.
That said, Clapton’s guitar work was so poignant it grabbed me and didn’t let go.
This is my second favorite version.
