Had a weird dream that made me wake up with the original Battlestar Galactica theme song in my head, so you get it too: youtube.com/watch?v=8hrd767Xzf

I can't believe it's been two years. And the show going on in the House right now...this is a *day*, my friends.

Whenever I notice my ankle clicking as I walk I wonder what steps lead to that particular noisy joint. It's not all the time, and it's not even the entire time I'm walking down the hall...bodies are weird, fam.

Two episodes of left to watch, so I'm listening to the score today. "Climb!" by Nicholas Brittel open.spotify.com/track/6VOLyJW

I was lucky enough to snag an Aldi cheese advent calendar over the weekend, but in case you don't have something to open each day until Christmas, consider this AI-generated advent calendar: aiweirdness.com/ai-advent-cale

Happy end of , friends! Maybe this year I'll finish the story, as 50,000 words wasn't nearly enough to get to the good stuff.

And no, I didn't realize when I titled this story "The Noodle Shop at the Edge of the Universe" that I was riffing on Douglas Adams.

Five thousand words to 50k. I'm at that weird point in the story where I finally get to write what I've been building toward, but I'm a little scared to actually commit it to paper.

I'm thankful that today I'll get to see family and refill my hug-o-meter. I see the troubling history of this day and am sitting with it. I hope you can find comfort in this day.

Just learned about this artist and really enjoying hearing the music of the traditional instrument called a Kora.

It is entirely possible that one could say I have too many socks.

When this song kicks into gear around the 3 minute mark it starts to make your heart beat along with it, which happens to be great for a word war during . Had my best writing day today at our regional writing marathon, but I only managed to get a few hundred words ahead of today's par (I was behind the last 2 days). The song title is apropos of nothing, I suppose...
