@estherschindler: Reporting without journalistic due (minimal) investigative diligence is where the press has been going since the advent of the internet, because of the "rush to get the minute-to-minute scoop". I don't mean only digital media but tv, radio, and print media as well. The drive to "run with the story" and subsequently figure on the First Amendment Shield if things go down twisted.
