My Amazon review of _Jackson, 1964 and other dispatches from fifty years of reporting on race in America_ by Calvin Trillin
It's a really good snapshot of where we have been and where we need to go, written by someone with an excellent command of language and an innate sense of fairness even when he (clearly) disagrees with the people he's reporting on. Recommended, especially for my writer and journalist friends.
