Have you ever heard of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library? You can register a child at birth and they receive an age-appropriate book a month until their 5th birthday for free. I've told several friends about this to help them get their kids & grand kids started reading.

I've heard of the program and recommended it, but I've never heard from anyone who has had the experience of getting the books.
