What book do you love; reread regularly; and yet there's a section you usually skip?

Me: First Pern trilogy. Love the books but always skip the section about Pridith and Wirenth because I don't want to cry. (Whew, that manages to avoid a spoiler.)

@XSGeek @estherschindler My current guilty book pleasure is re-reading books in the Liaden universe (Sharon Lee & Steve Miller). It's "polite science fiction."

@estherschindler @XSGeek THe sections/story lines I skip do vary with my moods. I like multi-threaded stories for this very reason. I have not gone back to the start of the series's universe timeline in a while. Those parts of the universe don't hold my attention well.

@estherschindler

quite a few by Milan Kundera. I don’t skip anything, though.

_The Book of Laughter_ and Forgetting and _Immortality_ are two of my most favorite by him but I love them all.

Also _The God of Small Things_ by Arundhati Roy and _Life of Pi_ ...If we are talking literary fiction.

I especially love allegorical fiction but I also really like non fiction!

@estherschindler

I love AS Byatt’s “Possession” but always skip the graveyard scene near the end of the book, until our protagonists find their treasure. For such a beautifully written book, this plot point at the end bothers me.
