Have you seriously considered leaving the U.S. over the last few years? If so, where would you go?

You know, the Information Age version of "job-hunting" is a whole new turbo-powered level of "this is stupid and it sucks," it really is. Most of the "help wanted, click to apply" emails that are clogging the f--k out of my inbox have nothing whatsoever to do with my skill set (hi, Monster-dot-com!) or are literally for different positions than the ones listed in the email subject line (Ziprecruiter is absolutely idiotic with that, like it's criminal-level bait-and-switch). JFC already.

I for one hope Trump's diet of Big Macs and Doritos doesn't finish him off, because he'll be keeping all the Big Oil/anti-education ghouls in his administration too busy with Fatal Attraction drama to accomplish anything more than lowering George Soros' taxes, just like last time

Watching all the Twitter-allergic normies humblebragging on Facebook about opening Bluesky accounts they'll never actually use is like listening to your little brother talk about how he wants to ride a tyrannosaurus to school

Humanity is a silent, lonely, endless archipelago of minds. My island is a remote, uncharted one, where M.R. James is a more renowned horror legend than Lovecraft, David Fincher more celebrated than Scorsese, and Wire more famous than Taylor Swift.

My totally surprised face, Bluesky and Threads blowing up the app-download charts. Train's leaving, Twitter buddies.

The elites have overdone it this time. is my mindset going forward. Some 20th century thinkers argued that capitalism eventually morphs into socialism organically, and I think that's where we're going. This bullshit is so intolerable that we're fools to think we can survive, much less thrive, in it.

Grant me the courage to know that I can change things.

Grant me the wisdom to change things for the better.

Grant me the serenity to continue to change things, in the face of adversity.

I was listening to a really interesting interview with Amber A'Lee Frost the other day; she mentioned that today's level of wealth inequality is way past Roaring 20s level. "We're talking about four poor people sharing a car."

Lol wtf are people waiting for, seriously?

Now that the GOP has destroyed the Democrats and taken over the system forever (all the Dems are going to do from here is move further to the right, not the left), we need to reject that system even harder and organize better to create a more sane one through things like mutual aid, value-driven worker-owned businesses, communal living, retirement homes that double as childcare facilities, participation in worldwide barter systems, etc. It's time to just say no.

Hello people who don't know me at all, I write a weekly music review column for Hippo Press, and this is what kicked it off last week, some love for a lady who plays classical stuff on really old recorders and how some weirdo on Facebook gave her a hard time

Maybe start not relying on the fan clubs of vapid clueless celebrities to win you your power, Dems

Today's free article: How we voted to crash the system and how we can build on that momentum.
