You know, it's no wonder so many people are vaguely anxious these days, given the fact that we're in this bizarre era of "rentier capitalism" when everyone's bank and credit card accounts have zillions of companies plugged into them, sucking out monthly subscription fees and all that, all while there are literally thousands of techies who could figure out how to hack those systems and take all our money if they made any effort. We're really lucky they haven't yet.
