Methinks an American person driving in my country (🇮🇹) might be a bit disoriented by how the road signs mostly use symbols instead of inscriptions. I guess you wouldn't imagine that the blue square road sign in Italy means “Dead end road”/“No through road” @NiveusLepus
@NiveusLepus Yeah, the American octagonal stop sign has been adopted by a lot of countries in the world. I have my partner who is Australian and they* love Italy 😊.
*I used that pronoun because my partner is non-binary as well as me

I remember my first time visiting Quebec, seeing Aret in the center of the sign. For a moment it felt like a parallel universe.

Seeing Italy would be a dream! My Great, great grandfather immigrated from there in 1905.
