@researchbuzz Here's an Italian minibus that has been unfortunately a niche product with a very little success, the Iveco Pollicino Downtown 291 (1998-2000). It was available with a Vickers 9919 electric enginewith AEG Zebra sodium-nicker-chlorine batteries or a Iveco 8140.43 Diesel engine (4L, 2800 cm³/170.9 cu in, 90 kW/122 PS) with a 3-speed Chrysler TorqueFlite A727 automatic transmission.

Of course nicker is a typo, I was meant to write nickel

@TheActualBrian What does make you coughing? If it's the design well, I can't blame you

@elleci42a it's from Army of Darkness.
Bra supposed to "say the words" before taking the Book of the Dead, but he can't remember the last one.

Necktie, nickel,... Definitely an N word.

So, he does that and accidently summons an army of the dead.

@researchbuzz Yes. In Italy the orange colour identified the urban and suburban buses while blue identified the interurban buses. This norm has been applied from 1978 to 2001 and since the latter year every bus company can paint their buses with colours of their choice

@researchbuzz Probably and those colour schemes were useful to identify the kind of lines too (urban, suburban or interurban). In this other pic there is an old Iveco 370.12.25 interurban bus of the public transport company of my town which kept its blue livery until the withdrawal

@elleci42a That's a BEAUTIFUL blue. I love that color on a bus. The buses around here used to be white with brown and black along the top, but the white looked bad with soot and dust. Now they have wrappers and ads. 🤷

@researchbuzz Where I live we have wrapped ads on the buses bodies 😩

@researchbuzz Here's an example of this abomination, a Solaris Urbino III 9 of SETA Piacenza (SETA is a public transport company which serves the cities of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Piacenza with their respective provinces) with the ads of a Ford official dealer of the city

@researchbuzz In this other picture of a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530 C1 of SETA Modena at least the front of the bus hasn't been wrapped

@elleci42a Now see that's good. It looks like part of the community and not a rolling billboard. The blue bump on top, is that for the natural gas?

@researchbuzz No, that Mercedes-Benz Citaro is a Diesel bus and that bump is for the external fans of the air conditioning system
