I woke up this morning to a bird repeatedly trying to get in my bedroom window.

Let me tell you a little about myself and what I intend to post here. I write fiction that centers LGBT2QIA+ characters who are just living their lives. I write essays/blog posts about my life, my passions, and my opinions. I also will be sharing photos of the lovely Mx. Ada "Mittens" Lovelace who happens to be a cat and is one of the best people I know. For the most part I will make every effort to bring a little light to your day.

I despise "social media" but love CoSo
most social media sites are a cesspool of influencers, algorithms, ads, bots, trolls, and generally all the worst aspects of the internet distilled and concentrated to fuel engagement via outrage
CoSo is just folks being folks...real people posting things and interacting with one another like we'd do at a pub or coffee shop or book club etc
I wouldn't be here if it were anything like twitter
PSA - I'm working behind the scenes to increase capacity and get everything running smooth again. Bear with me, apologies for any glitches or outages.
Also, this is my only account over here, unlike Twotter, where I have separate "more work appropriate" and "personal" accounts. With the lack of trolls and bad-faith-actors here, combined with the better security/privacy controls, I don't feel the need to separate out as much.
My account here is usually on the semi-private "Unlisted" mode, where my Toots don't appear in the "Firehose", but are visible to all if you click through. I'll restore that in a few days.
