me: "Hey, can you rename <Name With Spaces> to <NameWithSpaces> in <System>? I'm scripting stuff, and no spaces is easier."
CISO: "because \\ is hard? 🙂
me: "Anything to simplify scripting - we have so many 'embedded in embedded in embedded' stuff that requires keeping track of where escaping is going on, I'd rather minimize it when possible."
