Idk
All this canceal subscription stuff because of one person decision, a billionaire of all things, is kinda pointless
Do people really think that will hurt the billionaire ?
It will however hurt the people who work for that billionaire. Could even result in some losing their job. And they people who do get sacked will no doubt be people who don't necessarily agree with said billionaire
Think before jumping into something you could inadvertently hurt innocent people.
Eggs 😝
If Bezos sees a dip in profit people will get laid off even if its a big business
These people didn't become billionaires for showing anything other their bottom line remains in profit
Hundreds of thousands have unsubscribed so far - doesn't take a maths professor to know thats a substantial dip in profit for them
and it appears even some staffers are giving him the middle finger too @ecksmc
@Armchaircouch yeah well quitting is all good and well and some have the privilege to do so
Like most things it'll be the people who can't afford it that will be laid off people who are struggling already and can't give him the middle finger - not everyone is in the same position to walk out of a job - it'll be the folk way, way down the pecking order that'll suffer - and not necessarily "journalists" or "editors" > maintenance workers worker who aren't a "name" will suffer
ik, ik
Maybe the silver lining is their bigger salaries make up a larger number of folks with smaller who now won’t be laid off. @ecksmc
@ecksmc I agree. It'll be the warehouse workers, delivery drivers, cleaners and others at the bottom of the food chain who suffer. Bezos won't even notice.
@stueytheround always mate the folk people don't think about
Big picture and all that innit?
I think that kind of thing is a fair consideration for small businesses, but a giant news conglomerate?, they will not go under (unless a million people continue to unsubscribe).
