A report published Tuesday by Microsoft’s Threat Analysis Center (MTAC) finds “a synchronized shift” in recent weeks from maligning Biden to undermining Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, among some of the usual Russian suspects.

“Russian influence operations initially struggled to pivot operations aimed at the Democratic campaign following President Biden’s departure from the US 2024 presidential race,” the seven-page report observes.
