The better option, for most users, is to log into the X site from your desktop and click the More button at the bottom of your screen.
From there, click on Settings and privacy, select Grok under Data sharing and personalization, and then uncheck the "Allow your posts as well as your interactions, inputs, and results with Grok to be used for training and fine-tuning"
@Vikky 👍
@ecksmc The best option is not to use the bird site.🤷♂️
I thought I removed my Twitter account when I quit after the muskrat took over. I just checked and it's still showing an ACTIVE ACCOUNT.
I followed all their steps to REMOVE the entire account.
How do I KILL IT DEAD?
“Settings and privacy” ...
Choose “Deactivate your account” ...
Click “Deactivate” to have your account deleted in 30 days. ...
Re-enter your password to confirm.
it'll stay open for 30 days before being deleted BUT X keeps all your data for 12mths before it'll be removed << so they say anyway
Thanks, will try again.
You'd kinda think that TWO YEARS would have been enough to delete the account on their part.
@QueenOfEverything yeah it shoulda been deleted at least the account shoulda been wiped and you shouldn't have been able to log in - as for your data imo X will keep that for life i don't believe the 12mths thing they claim
Fortunately, I never posted deep, dark, embarrassing black mail fodder on twitter... I know, crazy, right? Just don't play that.
But it does piss me off to see it still posted. I left a lot of great people that I wish would come over to CoSo... I think quite a few think that musk will self-destruct any day now and they'll get twitter back.
Who needs that when there's #CoSo with a brilliant, fun, not maga friendly-ever place to socialize.
Thanks for the assist.
@ecksmc 👍 done & thank you
