Extremist views grow more extreme when left unchecked
That's the biggest issue with politics around the world right now - politicians who voice extreme views have been allowed to and that's why it grows - people then see them getting away with it and they start
Also it is not just extreme views from one side its extreme views from right and left that needs dealt with if you think left are all innocent your not being honest with yourself - yes the right might be more an imminent threat right now but the left have their issues also and need to be held accountable also
There are plenty of left leaning politicians who are extreme and if we let them get away with it it'll soon be out of control like we see with the right
Can't just ignore the horrible things people say just because they are "on your side" it will spiral and get more extreme
Politicians need to be held accountable and people need to held accountable for what they say no matter what "side" they are on
@ecksmc In fact, whichever "side" we're on it's our job to hold those who represent us accountable and to call out unacceptable behaviour and rhetoric.
If I see left wing/socialist activists expressing extreme views I need to tell them, "not in my name".

Its why the whole political divide thing has been heading for years and years now people ignoring things from their "people"
Blind loyalty to parties and the "halo effect" and media left/right picking sides highlight one side for saying "things" while ignoring "things" their side say has defo got us here
