Try a heic to jpg, or other file format, converter app there are loads available on play store - I'd search for "open source heic to jpeg converter app"
Also Dropbox can save pictures in HEIC format, but you can decide to download them as JPG. If you already have a Dropbox account then that might suit you. 👍

I haven't used any for that specific file converting but I have a few over the years and most didn't require a sign up and few that did but I could just sign in using my google account, which is faster, then revoke it once I was finished via my.account for google security scroll down to "your connections to third party apps & services" and you can delete all connections the app has 👍
