Starting June 26, Meta will use data from interactions on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp to train its AI models.

How to Opt Out of Meta, as well as, Gemini, and ChatGPT AI Training.

@ecksmc not allowed in the US on IG. I went down this rabbit hole. What it does is ask you to fill out specific examples of your AI info you want removed. Unless they changed it in the last few days, there's no US opt out option. You can request removal and use the toggle.

@ecksmc I know it says June 26 and I'll recheck then but just letting everyone know it's not offered now. It's time consuming to find the link in the privacy policy only to find out differently right now.

@SaltyVeruca for IG "More info and support” section, and click “About.” Then click on “Privacy policy.” At the very top of the page, you should see a box that says “Learn more about your right to object.”

Person tells you exactly what to say in the request form thingy its a guide on where to click and what to say - sure that person is in US

Its same method for UK users also you need to tell meta why you want to opt-out which that person managed and got a reply within 1min saying successful 👍

@ecksmc that's different from what I attempted. There was a version of this going around IG with little success so I can mark this and try. For sure they're not making it easy. At least not yet. Thanks.

@SaltyVeruca yeah for sure there was a kinda backlash from EU about it and meta kinda won by hiding it away from settings people would normally goto

I'd just copy everything that guy wrote on his request form and paste it - he had luck and should work for all users

Good luck 👍
