A report presented to members of the well-being committee highlighted that during that time there were 135 Orange Order marches, while 24 were organised by Apprentice Boys of Derry and 10 by the Black Institute, while there were seven Republican Marches, two trade union marches, eight bands, 11 funerals and 67 “other” processions took place across the city.
just seems that the number of orange order marches is disproportionately excessive. Why are so many permitted?
@ecksmc because those who give permits for the marchers are marchers?
@ecksmc I mean they can't have a parade to celebrate the Zombie huns winning a trophy, so they have to settle for marches
@killingfloorman 😂 true - its the sheer amount of marches that get allowed that is the issue
Republican marches get refused while each year orange order marches get more allowed
Personally they can march till their wee orange balls drop on the 12th there is no need for marches starting 1st June right up till 12th July that's taking the piss
@ecksmc I agree
Glasgow is braced for 100 Orange walks and loyalist parades in a matter of weeks this summer
July 6, the city will see 15,000 people take part in the largest march
Fuck yer 12th of July
