@QueenOfEverything its just aired on Disney though still the bbc that actually makes it - Disney+ simply owns the streaming rights for everywhere outside of the UK and Ireland
Bbc are always making cuts to things so it may have seen a reduction in cost but I don't get the claustrophobic thing
Imo last weeks episode was the best but then I'm bias a little because Moffat wrote it
@QueenOfEverything its kinda why bbc made the deal, for exclusive streaming rights, with Disney so Dr who can get more cash to help bbc make new episodes faster
So we ain't waiting like 2yrs for new seasons to begin like we had been
That said its up to bbc where that influx if cash is spent it might not all go to Dr who
Got it. That makes sense and I hope they’ll put the money back into the show… so no other Doctor had to go through the Peter Capaldi season of torture!
@QueenOfEverything yeah that was torture lol
It all boils down to stats if bbc see a rise in viewers it'll get mostly all of Disneys cash I'd think - also depends on the actual contract bbc signed with Disney also bbc might be contracted to make so many seasons/episodes within a certain time period - I'd think if stats go up, they might throw cash into it, but if not & bbc are contracted to make X amount of episodes with in a certain time it could be "no frills" episodes
Double edge sword
I’m a huge Moffat fan…. “BOOM” is the best so far. And the episode called for the claustrophobic standing on a land mine. Reminded me of Hitchcock’s “Rear Window.”
I'm glad BBC is still in charge.
@ecksmc
I like the new Doctor & companion and the writing for the episodes have been engaging… but I’m feeling claustrophobic. I’m used to the VASTNESS of Doctor Who, traveling across galaxies and time.
The Disney Doctor Who feels like it’s had a huge budget reduction with a small cast that can all take place in a living room.
Is it just me? #DoctorWho
