Imagine Cambridge Analytica, but now fueled by AI

🤔

A generative AI campaign robocaller created by a UK-based startup is already reaching out to voters in one congressional campaign.

“There is a set of data that the campaign already knows about the person they’re calling. Based on that information, we are able to have conversations that are customized to the recipient.”

This is where the alarm bells should go off.

the Ai can call you give you a msg then call your neighbour and give them a different msg

it's like a new dark ads campaign for politicians

how can you hold a single politician accountable when almost everyone will get different promises and hear different msgs from the politician

robocalls should NOT be allowed in politics

@ecksmc

It’s already here. I counted 53 calls in one hour to my son’s landline (for 99 yr old MIL) for insurance sign-up.

I’m telling you AI is the end of humanity.

@LnzyHou robocalls have always been around for companies - ik in UK you can stop robocalls using tools provided by your landline provider

Using AI for robocalling though is new and deffo new for targeting voters

@ecksmc

They are on US No Call List. Still lambasted daily.
