it was Linus all along..
@ecksmc: I saw him attempt to not go completely unhinged at the mention of the success of Linux and his apparent obsession with taking ("sharing") credit for Linux since he was himself unable to finish what he started with GNU.
The other time he was just a colossal chode to everyone. It was attributed to jet lag, but my old boss, who knew him from the 1980s, said he must've been in one of his moods. Dex said the moods usually lasted for as long as he wasn't being sufficiently worshipped.

I met him twice over the years, and he was a gaping asshole.
