verified high profile Twitter accounts have been hacked and sending out the same tweets
"Hello twitter family !" begins the tweets posted "I have 10 MacBooks that I will personally sign myself , that you can purchase for $600 and free Shipping ! First come first serve basis , and all proceeds will be going to charity ! MY DMS ARE OPENED IF INTERESTED"
even though some have been hacked for over one week Twitter has been silent on the matter

make that months this has been going on for

Twitter has not suspended the accounts, allowing the hackers to scam users of thousands of dollars, if not more
watch out for famous people tweeting deals
also don't click on "security[dot]com/reset password" URL if it appears in your DM's, or anything similar, that is how the scammer/hacker is gaining control of accounts pretending to be a Twitter employee asking you to click to share your the password then the hacker quickly changes your password
